Club Swimming

We are a school based swim club that provides swim training for all students both from PLC and the wider community. The club focuses on developing athletes and opportunities to reach their full potential in the pool and our qualified coaches work with each athlete to help them achieve their individual goals, whether that is competitively or fitness directed. Our squad structure allows for athletes to train at their level with the ability to progress from club level all the way to National level and anywhere in between.

Swimmers in this squad are learning what swim training involves and the skills important for competitive swimming.

Non-competitive Swimming

These swimmers will train alongside the competitive swimmers and follow the same training rules and expectations.

Participating in various swimming competitions provides swimmers with many benefits, which include an opportunity to improve performance, assess training focus, assess technique and fitness, develop and improve race plans, gain qualifying times, maintain motivation, assist in achieving goals and to have fun.

The PLC Aquatic coaches prepare a competitions calendar for each season and develop a training program to prepare swimmers attending these swim meets. This forms a part of PLC Aquatic’s long term planning for developing swimmers. It is expected that swimmers take their coaches’ advice when selecting which meets to enter, as coaches have selected certain meets for specific reasons.

Swimmers must be registered with Swimming Victoria (SV) in order to compete. SV registration for the swimming season starts, 1 July – 30 June. To register, swimmers pay online via the member portal on the Swimming Victora Website
